Brief Project Description:
Stone Connection undertook the design, supply and fixing of approximately 850 m² of 75mm Stoke Hall sandstone to form external ashlar cladding to a new Office Headquarters building for Lafarge UK at their cement plant in the Derbyshire's Peak District. The design is a marriage of form and function with important consideration being given to the impact on the surrounding area. Stone Connection provided design input to assist the Architect in achieving these goals and undertook various Value Engineering exercises on the stonework to bring the overall costs within the required budget.
