Traditional Masonry:
Natural stone has been used for centuries in traditional masonry situations and Stone Connection regularly undertakes projects for the supply and installation of architectural stonework (generally 100mm or thicker) e.g. ashlar facing, columns, porticos, door & window surrounds, string courses, moulded cornices and arches etc. In addition we specialise in the fixing of split and pitched face walling, to both large scale Commercial developments and private projects.
Stone Connection has been involved in prestigious 'Country House' projects for Private Clients and has worked closely with Architects at the very early stages to provide essential design input, which has ensured a cost effective 'stone solution' without compromising the overall aesthetic and functional requirements of the building. This, in turn, has led to us being appointed as the specialist masonry contractor, responsible for the preparation of key-marked working drawings and cutting schedules, the supply and installation of all the natural stonework, together with the external works package. We also specialise in the design, supply and fix of high quality marble, granite, slate and quartz for bespoke interiors, including flooring, staircases, feature wall cladding, fireplaces, kitchen worksurfaces, shower enclosures, bath surrounds and vanity units.
Our extensive workshop facilities allow us to complement the services of our suppliers by manufacturing selected products 'in-house' which ensures that the exacting quality standards required on projects of this nature are achieved.
