Often neglected, the External Works element of any project plays an essential part in achieving the overall design aspirations. The extensive range of natural products and finishes now available enables the design team to confidently specify stone for most external works applications, whether it be paving, steps, coping or wall cladding material. In addition to this, natural stone is an ideal medium for features such as pool surrounds, fountains, obelisks, seating and the like, all of which add prestige and style to the project.
Stone Connection's experience in stone selection, sourcing and supply can be harnessed, free of charge, at the early stages of the project to assist in achieving the overall design aspirations and best use of natural stone.
Our team of specialist stonemasons can install all products to the high quality standards routinely expected on jobs of this nature, whether it be textured granite stallrisers, sandstone paving, setts, treads and risers or copings.
This service is supplemented by an experienced design team who prepare CAD layout drawings, cutting schedules and templates required for production and fixing. Project management is undertaken by stone professionals who liaise with the suppliers, both in the UK and overseas, to ensure materials are produced and finished in accordance with individual specification requirements and to current BS/BSEN standards.
Our extensive workshop facilities provide us with the option of producing bespoke items 'in-house' which is particularly useful when curved / geometric layouts are required in different materials and we then have the ability to 'dry-lay' the finished products to ensure precise fitting and approval, prior to it being delivered to site.
