Cladding:
Natural stone cladding has been extensively used in many applications;
- Traditional handset Cladding to BS 8298
- Internal Cladding / Lining to BS 8298
- Rainscreen Cladding - utilising undercut anchor technology and other proprietary systems
When specified as hand-set cladding the stone is fixed / restrained to a suitably constructed, solid backing structure e.g. 7 N/mm² blockwork or a Metsec type framework, using stainless steel cramps and dowels with proprietary stainless steel brackets and angles to provide the required load bearing support.
Stone Connection has successfully undertaken many handset cladding contracts
for some of the UK's leading Clients and Main Contractors and offers a full
design, supply and installation service, together with effective Project Management,
routinely expected on all contracts, to ensure a high quality service and end
product. The Company can source and supply a wide range of natural stones

place in building design, Stone Connection can advise on projects where more
innovative design solutions are sought and has good experience in the supply
and installation of stone cladding in Rainscreen and Curtain walling applications,
including thinly veneered stone bonded to specially designed honeycombed backings,
resulting in lightweight cladding panels.
